I wrote Project Inversion several years ago and published in the fall of 2013. The story takes place in a world very similar to our own, except for one very significant difference—everyone has binoculars permanently affixed to their eyes. The story follows a group of young brothers as they listen to their Grandfather’s stories about the Revolution. Slowly, as their grandfather calls into question the foundations of their lives, they began to ask themselves that most dangerous question of all: Why?
This is a short, fast and fun book that is suitable for both adults and young readers. The science-fiction is light and accessible, the humor on-point, and the questions that arise about the relationship between technology, morality and success are timely and pertinent.
If you like George Saunders, Kurt Vonnegut, Ray Bradbury, or simply enjoy a curmudgeonly narrator, you’ll enjoy this story.
