Thanks to all of you who came out and said goodbye. It was nice to see everyone and get some good vibrations prior to leaving on my trip. My only regret is that there wasn’t more time to spend with each of you, by which I mean: wouldn’t it have been nice if there had been more time to talk about me?! (In case — HAH!, as if such conditionals were needed — you want/need/can’t-breathe-without more of me: just remember: this is a blog. By me. About me. Me. Me. Me. Give it time and I assure you that you’ll be sated!)
Thanks especially to (initials used to protect the identities of those involved): TG for the beer and late-night party crashers, GO for the extra chairs, GL & TBone for the prep work, CW for the discounted beer and wine and cooler usage, RW for being such a gracious tic-tac-toe loser (I’m sorry Aaron scared you), TBone for all the clean-up work, KN for many of the photographs, JB for giving the party the Indie Rock edge, DB for being so drunk, DW and JB for the homosexual flair, MH for bringing the largest piece of bread, GG for the wine and minority quota, BS and TC for being so irresistibly cute, SS for not coming, NE and RE for the hippie edge, JC for the nasty-ass home brew, KH and NH for representing the east-side, BM for having such flair, A for your wonderfully entertaining Google chat taglines, L for keeping my couch warm, and TBear for being such a cute and happy ursine presence.
Anyone whose initials I overlooked: I apologize. I had a fair amount to drink, the whole experience was very emotionally overwhelming and as I write this I’m jet-lagged in a foreign country and having difficulty remembering every detail. Only 1.75 of those statements are true. For those of you who didn’t make it: it would’ve been nice to see you. Make sure you come next time so you too can have your initials stenciled on the wall of fame.
Again: thanks to each of you. That sure was nice.
